Japanese embroidery events

Japanese embroidery classes take place twice a year in the North West.  The classes are run by Japanese Embroidery Academy and Japanese Embroidery Center authorised tutors.

Day Classes - 2023 - New dates and venue

Our in person classes will run at the Glendower Hotel in Lytham St Annes. Dates are 26 February, 26 March, 28 May, 25 June, and 30 July.  Class runs from 10am to 4pm.   Booking/payment for class can be made on line via the shop or in person on the day.  Teas/coffees and/or lunch are available from the hotel.

Lytham St Annes - 2023/24

2-5 November 2023 and 11-14 April 2024.  This four day class caters for all levels of tuition for both JEA modules and JEC phases and advanced/challenge designs.  Class fee £200.

4-5 November 2023 and 13-14 April 2024. 
A weekend introduction to Traditional Japanese Embroidery designed to give students a brief insight into some of the techniques used in Japanese embroidery. At the end of the weekend students will have a piece of work which they will be able to complete at home. Class fee £100

Classes above held at the Glendower Hotel, Lytham St Annes.  Rooms should be booked directly with the hotel.  Details will be provided to students when they have booked their place.

If you are interested in taking classes but are not able to attend on the dates above it is possible to arrange private tuition, this can be on an individual basis or for a small group of two or three.

I am also happy to discuss running classes in other areas of Northern England.
