Grapes & Leaves - completed
Published on 13th February 2017
A quick post today, unlike this piece which was started in 2014. Various things interrupted its progress but finally it is compete and I'm very pleased with how it has turned out.
It has gradually moved along and really there wasn't a lot left to do, some outlining and stems.
I recently acquired this beautiful shell gold, actually two colour ways but the other one refused to be photographed, it just looked like mud. This one has lovely greens and reds, the other is russet colours. They are about a #5.
I used them to outline the remaining leaves.
And for the stems. For some I mixed the two variations of shell gold, for other sections I used a single colour.
In the end it only took about 4 hours to finish it off.
